About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Machine Shop Supervisor to join our team at All can Doors & Hardware Inc. in a key leadership position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimate and Manage Costs: Develop and implement cost estimation and management strategies to ensure efficient production and minimize waste.
  • Operate CNC Machines: Supervise and operate computer numerical control (CNC) machines to produce high-quality metal products.
  • Prepare Bids and Reports: Prepare and submit bids, production reports, and other documentation to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate Activities: Coordinate and schedule activities to ensure smooth production and meet deadlines.
  • Ensure Health and Safety: Oversee the implementation and enforcement of health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Supervise Workers: Supervise and train a team of 5-10 workers, including ironworkers, machine operators, sheet metal workers, and welders.
  • Requisition Materials: Requisition and order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Set Up Machines: Set up and maintain CNC machines and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Language: English.
Working Conditions
  • Work Environment: Shopwork environment with tight deadlines and attention to detail required.
  • Physical Capabilities: Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
