Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Landscaping Laborer/Driver to join our team at Alpha Better Landscaping. As a key member of our crew, you will be responsible for performing a variety of tasks related to landscaping and construction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Landscaping: Dig holes, plant and stake trees/shrubs in residential communities, parks, boulevards, and public areas according to specifications.
  • Preparation: Prepping top soil for loam and sod installation.
  • Seeding and Mulching: Seeding and mulching flowerbeds and trees.
  • Paving and Installation: Laying patio pavers, installing rain gardens and dry creek beds, and installing rubber crumbs for playgrounds.
  • Site Furniture Installation: Installing playground equipment, pergolas, and site furniture (picnic tables, benches, etc).
  • Rock Retaining Walls: Installing rock retaining walls.
  • Skid Steer Operation: Potential to be trained as a Skid Steer Operator.
Maintenance Responsibilities
  • Weeding and Pruning: Weeding, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Grass Maintenance: Cutting and raking grass.
  • Waste Removal: Removing litter and garbage.
  • Lawn Care: Lay sod or seed lawns.
  • Planting: Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees.
  • Fertilization and Irrigation: Apply fertilizers, water lawns, and water gardens.
  • Snow Removal: Clear snow manually or use snow removal equipment.
Requirements
  • Valid Driver's License: Must have a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.
  • Clean Driver Abstract: MUST Possess a CLEAN driver abstract with a minimum of 2 years driving experience.
  • Availability: Must be able and willing to work hour days Monday to Saturday.
  • Personal Protective Equipment: Must have steel-toed boots (8" ankle support).
  • Compensation: We offer competitive wages as well as overtime after 8 hours per day and 44 hours per week.
