As an integral part of the Finance Leadership Team, you will play a crucial role in shaping the strategic direction of the Finance function. We seek a dedicated professional who is passionate about enhancing efficiencies through innovative technology and process improvements. Your contributions will significantly influence our capacity to support the company's future growth in a compliant and risk-averse manner. Additionally, you will oversee the development and professional advancement of a team comprising one manager and four credit and collection analysts.

Key Responsibilities in Treasury Operations:

· Cultivate and manage banking relationships, encompassing loan facilities and cash management services, alongside other banking functions such as letters of credit and foreign exchange.

· Oversee all banking operations, including loan management, account positioning, and the disbursement of funds through cheque batches and electronic transfers.

· Implement effective risk management strategies, focusing on foreign exchange and interest rate exposure, while executing initiatives to mitigate these risks.

· Anticipate cash requirements and devise plans to secure timely and cost-effective funding alternatives, considering working capital and capital expenditure needs.

· Manage an optimal capital structure by balancing financing and equity, ensuring compliance with the covenants of our funding facilities.

· Direct credit and collection policies and operations, leading a team consisting of one manager and four credit and collection analysts.

Key Responsibilities in Tax Operations:

· Oversee the relationship and activities with a third-party advisor that provides corporate tax planning and compliance services for both the USA and Canada.

· Prepare corporate tax provisions and related notes for our audited financial statements.

· Handle the preparation and filing of sales tax returns for all North American operations.

· Manage tax estimates and payments, ensuring tax accounts are accurately reconciled.

· Coordinate and manage tax authority audits.

· Ensure that transfer pricing documentation is up-to-date, consistently applied, and compliant with internal policies and external regulations.

· Address employee taxation matters as necessary.

Key Responsibilities in Risk Management Operations:

· Lead and supervise the company's insurance activities.

· Manage insurance renewals, collaborating closely with our third-party insurance broker to achieve desired risk exposure.

· Oversee claims processing to ensure equitable resolutions while maintaining profitability.

· Plan and participate in risk engineering visits to manufacturing sites.

· Collaborate with various departments to identify and mitigate financial risks across the organization.

Qualifications:

· A bachelor's degree in business, economics, mathematics, or data science.

· CPA or CFA designation; completion of the In Depth Tax Program (IDTP) is advantageous.

· A minimum of 8 years of post-designation experience in tax and accounting.

· Experience in full cycle accounting is a plus.

Additional Information:

· This role reports directly to the CFO and collaborates closely with the CEO and board members.

· This is a hybrid position, allowing for a combination of in-office and remote work.
