Position Overview:

As the eDiscovery Operations Lab Director at CGS Federal, you will utilize your extensive industry expertise and market insights to oversee the management of our Automated Litigation Support Lab. This full-time role is crucial in ensuring the effective delivery of lab data processing services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary manager for the provision of lab data processing services.
  • Ensure the timely and precise execution of tasks, while developing and implementing processing strategies for electronic files in accordance with relevant ESI specifications.
  • Engage with attorneys and support personnel to advise on best practices for ESI compliance, and participate in discussions with co-counsel and client agencies as needed.
  • Monitor incoming productions to guarantee adherence to ESI specifications, and promptly inform case attorneys of any identified deficiencies.
  • Maintain communication with clients regarding lab activities, including deadlines, technical issues, and resource availability.
  • Provide web hosting support for cases managed by the lab that lack direct support.
  • Oversee a team of eDiscovery professionals within a client-site laboratory, managing scheduling, requirements assessments, task assignments, and ensuring deadlines are met, while also creating progress reports and conducting Quality Control (QC) of deliverables.
  • Advise client attorneys, paralegals, and case managers on all aspects of the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM), particularly in areas such as Data Collection, Processing, Hosting, Review, Analytics, and Production.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with Relativity is essential.
  • Preferred certifications include Relativity Certified Administrator (RCA) and/or Relativity Analytics Specialist.
  • A minimum of eight years in eDiscovery roles, encompassing electronic files processing, data conversion, quality assurance, and data analysis.
  • At least five years of experience in a management or supervisory capacity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of the litigation discovery process and EDRM workflow.
  • Familiarity with document review software such as iConect, Relativity, Venio, or similar tools is required.
  • A bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is mandatory; waivers for this requirement can only be granted by the Contracting Officer.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with litigation support tools such as LAW, IPRO, Concordance, MS Office Suite, and LiveNote is highly regarded.
