The Salvation Army is seeking a dedicated and experienced Program Services Coordinator to lead and support our team of frontline staff.
As the Program Services Coordinator, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our essential housing programs. You will be responsible for supervising, mentoring, and coordinating the work of our caseworkers, who provide critical support to individuals experiencing homelessness.
Key Responsibilities:
- Leadership & Supervision: Provide day-to-day guidance and support to program staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment. Ensure adherence to policies and procedures, and maintain accurate records in our case management system (HIFIS).
- Program Development & Implementation: Work closely with the Program Services Director to develop and implement standardized intake and referral processes. Oversee client assessments, assigning staff based on expertise and case complexity. Contribute to program planning and coordination, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Training & Onboarding: Conduct comprehensive onboarding for new frontline workers and program services caseworkers, covering operational procedures, policies, and best practices. Provide ongoing training and support to enhance staff skills and knowledge.
- Client Support & Advocacy: Promote a client-centered approach, ensuring that all interactions are respectful, compassionate, and focused on meeting individual needs. Advocate for clients within the system, connecting them with resources and support services.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in program management or supervision within a social service setting.
- Strong understanding of homelessness issues and available support systems.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and case management software.
- Commitment to The Salvation Army's mission and values.
