Job Title: Clinical Director for Victim Services

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Director to lead our Victim Services team in Durham Region. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the development of a Child and Youth Advocacy Centre, working closely with our Executive Director and multi-disciplinary partners.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide oversight of the CYAC's operations, including strategic and operational planning, data collection, and budget management.
  • Develop and implement policies, partner agreements, and Memoranda of Understanding pertinent to the multi-disciplinary collaboration and coordination of services.
  • Supervise and support a small team of frontline staff, providing trauma-informed supervision and conflict management.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key partners, community groups, and those with lived experience.
  • Promote public awareness of, and support for, the CYAC through educational and promotional materials, and community events.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Masters of Social Work with a minimum of 5 years post MSW experience.
  • Experience in collaborative, cross-sectoral program development and/or project management in the social services sector.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the criminal justice system, child welfare, programs and services for child/youth victims of crime and community support services.
  • Excellent oral and written communication and/or organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task, set priorities, and meet deadlines.
  • Superior interpersonal skills and ability to maintain strong working relationships.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills with computer applications (MS Office, Outlook, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Solid understanding and demonstrated experience in and commitment to trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, anti-racist practices and equity, diversity, and inclusion.
  • Knowledge of intergenerational trauma and understanding of systemic barriers faced by BIPOC individuals.
  • A strong commitment to social justice, cultural safety, and a wholistic approach in program development and community collaboration.
