Job Summary

The Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences is seeking a registered psychologist to provide psychological services in the Forensic Psychiatric Rehabilitation Unit. As a member of an interprofessional team, you will work collaboratively to provide evidence-based clinical assessments and treatment to patients with severe and persistent mental illness who have come into contact with the law.

The successful candidate will have a Doctoral degree in psychology and be registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. They will have demonstrated skills in working with an interprofessional team, particularly those in transition, and experience providing short-term evidence-based psychotherapies. Excellent oral and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment are essential.

The position will involve providing consultation to interprofessional team members, supervising students, and initiating research projects. The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to contribute to the development of evidence-based clinical management and assessment practices.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications
