About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Forklift Mechanic to join our team at Insta-Lift. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and safety of our industrial equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance and Service: Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on forklifts and other industrial equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure efficient operation.
  • Advise Customers on Work Performed: Provide clear and concise information to customers on the work performed and the condition of their equipment.
  • Repair and Rebuild Mechanical Systems: Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues on forklifts and other industrial equipment, including hoisting mechanisms and other critical systems.
  • Test and Adjust Repaired Equipment: Thoroughly test and adjust repaired equipment to ensure proper performance and safety.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
  • Work Site Environment: Noisy, dusty, and hot conditions
  • Work Setting: On-site customer service
  • Area of Specialization: Forklift
  • Security and Safety: Valid driver's license check, driving record check (abstract)
  • Transportation/Travel Information: Valid driver's license
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, hand-eye coordination, ability to distinguish between colors, bending, crouching, kneeling, handling heavy loads, physically demanding
  • Personal Suitability: Client focus, excellent oral communication, efficient interpersonal skills, judgment, reliability
