Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician III - Painter to join our team at Bouygues Energies & Services. As a key member of our facilities maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and maintenance of our buildings and facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Assist in the implementation of a preventive maintenance program to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
  • Painting and Finishing: Develop and implement painting and finishing schedules and plans to maintain the appearance and integrity of our buildings.
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare and clean surfaces for painting and finishing, including removing old wallpaper and paint.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and repair painting and finishing equipment, as well as other tools and machinery.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve maintenance and repair goals.
  • Quality Control: Contribute to the effective use of our Quality Control System to ensure high-quality workmanship.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in a call-out system to respond to emergency situations and assist the company in maintaining business continuity.
  • Security Clearance: Obtain and maintain a RCMP Reliability Status Security Clearance.
Requirements
  • BC Trades Certification: Possess a valid BC Trades Certification in a relevant trade.
  • Working Knowledge: Have a working knowledge of material systems, methods, and equipment used in facility maintenance work.
  • Occupational Hazards: Be aware of occupational hazards, safe working practices, and applicable regulations in facility management.
  • Teamwork: Be able to work in a team environment with a minimum of supervision and be collaborative in dealing with fellow employees.
  • Customer Focus: Be able to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers by being customer-focused and responding promptly to customer needs.
  • Problem-Solving: Be able to draw appropriate sketches to communicate details to team members and others.
