About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our interdisciplinary team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, consultation, and psychotherapy services to patients. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans, and participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a recognized PhD/PsyD in Clinical Psychology from an accredited university program, and registration with the NSBEP. A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience is preferred, with a focus on adult mental health and forensic inpatient settings. You will have experience in conducting psychological and cognitive assessments, and have expertise in formulating and implementing treatment plans. You will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide assessment, diagnosis, consultation, and psychotherapy services to patients
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with other healthcare professionals
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care
