About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at Nova Scotia Health Authority. As a Nurse Specialist in our Specific Care Clinic, you will play a vital role in delivering patient-centered care to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care to patients
  • Coordinate case management and transition support to ensure seamless care
  • Develop and implement education programs on mental health and addiction
  • Work closely with community resources to provide holistic care
  • Contribute to quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (or equivalent experience)
  • Registered (or eligible) with Nova Scotia College of Nursing
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in mental health nursing
  • CNA Certification in Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and teamwork skills
  • Knowledge of mental health programs and community resources
