Auberge du Pommier is a new fine dining establishment opening in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We are dedicated to showcasing the exceptional culinary treasures of Canada's Maritime provinces. Our chefs meticulously source ingredients within a 100km radius, crafting an authentic and unforgettable dining experience that celebrates the region's rich natural bounty.

Your Role as Host

As a Host at Auberge du Pommier, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere from the moment they arrive. You will play a vital role in ensuring a seamless and memorable dining experience for every patron.

  • Guest Experience: You will greet guests with professionalism and warmth, both in person and over the phone, even during peak hours. Your genuine hospitality will set the tone for their evening.
  • Teamwork: You will collaborate effectively with servers, bartenders, and managers to maintain a smooth flow of service throughout the restaurant.
  • Table Management: You will efficiently escort guests to their tables and ensure accurate reservation management, both over the phone and in person.
  • Presentation & Attention to Detail: You will maintain a pristine environment at the host stand and entrance area, ensuring a welcoming and organized first impression for all guests.
  • Restaurant Knowledge: You will quickly become familiar with table layouts and sections within the restaurant, demonstrating a thorough understanding of our dining space.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Host in a fine dining establishment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards.
  • The ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively.
