Key Responsibilities- Design and Fabrication: Study plans, specifications, and drawings to create custom cabinets and furniture.
- Woodworking: Trim joints, fit parts and subassemblies together, and reinforce joints to ensure a high-quality finish.
- Finishing: Sand wooden surfaces, apply veneer, stain, or polish to finished products, and prepare and apply laminated plastics.
- Supervision: Supervise other workers and ensure a clean and safe work environment.
- Estimation: Estimate costs and materials for projects.
- Repair and Restyling: Repair or restyle wooden furniture, fixtures, and related products.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a custom cabinet shop or industrial setting.
- Skills: Manual dexterity, attention to detail, and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 13.5 kg (30 lbs).
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient, and organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
