Job Summary
TalentMinded Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Payroll Analyst to join our team. As a Payroll Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of payroll transactions, performing data analysis, and contributing to the overall efficiency and compliance of the payroll function.
Key Responsibilities
- Process end-to-end payroll, including data entry, calculations, reconciliations, and verification of time and attendance records.
- Collaborate with the People team to maintain accurate employee data and ensure its confidentiality and security.
- Generate regular and ad hoc payroll reports, review accuracy, and identify any discrepancies.
- Analyze payroll data to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues, providing insights and recommendations to management.
- Stay up to date with federal, provincial, state, and labor legislation, ensuring payroll practices and processes are compliant.
Requirements
- Experience processing Canadian and US payrolls and entering and analyzing data.
- Understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and labor legislation in Canada and the US.
- Ability to quickly learn software and systems, such as Dayforce.
- High level of discretion in handling confidential employee information and maintaining data security.
- Payroll Compliance Professional (PCP) certification from the National Payroll Institute (Canada) is an asset.
