Line Technician

The Canadian Army is seeking highly skilled Line Technicians to join our team. As a Line Technician, you will play a critical role in providing fast, reliable, and secure wired communications infrastructure and support to wireless systems.
Key Responsibilities- Install, remove, maintain, and repair leading edge communications infrastructure, including interior structured cable systems, fibre optic cables, and supporting infrastructure.
- Integrate radio, satellite, and microwave broadband equipment and infrastructure into wired networks.
- Install and maintain communications towers and antennas.
- Provide technical support and maintenance for fibre optic and copper cable distribution and supporting infrastructure in buildings and military bases.
- Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident living in Canada.
- Be at least 18 years old (17 years old with parental consent).
- Have completed at least Grade 10 or Secondaire IV in Québec.
As a Line Technician, you will work primarily outdoors, across the country and around the world, wherever the Canadian Army has a footprint. You will be required to work at heights and in confined spaces for extended periods of time and must be well-versed in the application of safety standards.
Training and DevelopmentAs a Line Technician, you will undergo comprehensive training, including the Basic Military Qualification course and the Basic Occupational Qualification Training. You will also have the opportunity to develop specialized skills through formal courses and on-the-job training.
