Electrical Supervisor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team at Newcrest Mining Limited, a leading mining company in Australia.

The successful candidate will lead a maintenance team consisting of Electrical, Instrumentation, and HVAC technicians to ensure plant safety and reliability. Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Surface Maintenance function, including maintaining all electrical equipment and assets.
  • Recruitment, training, and development of the Surface Maintenance Team.
  • Monitoring and reviewing performance, addressing any deviations from targets.
  • Ensuring all incidents are captured in the CHESS system and managing the investigation process.
  • Driving a positive safety culture and ensuring compliance with industry and company safety requirements.
  • Utilizing the SAP system in line with the established Maintenance Business Process.
  • Providing support during Surface Maintenance Shutdowns.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders to ensure common alignment and teamwork.

To succeed in this role, you will be a motivated leader with excellent work-ethics and a passion for continuous improvement. Required qualifications include:

  • Supervisor experience in mining or heavy industry.
  • Current WA 'A' Grade Electrical Licence.
  • Eligibility to be appointed as an In-house Electrical Nominee.
  • HV Switching Qualification.
  • Electrical Instrumentation Qualification.
  • Proficiency in entering and managing data in SAP.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize.
  • Demonstrated ability and knowledge to work safely and follow procedures.
  • Able to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • C Class Drivers Licence.
