Job Summary

Vestas is seeking a skilled Wind Turbine Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our field operations team, you will be responsible for performing scheduled service, fault analysis/troubleshooting, and potential main component or blade work on wind turbines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on wind turbines to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Conduct fault analysis and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with wind turbines
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules
  • Work at heights and in confined spaces, while being exposed to the elements of weather
  • Participate in on-call rotation schedule for off-work hours (weekends)

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2 years of wind experience or 2-3 years of transferrable mechanical, hydraulic, electrical work background
  • Basic Safety Training (BST), Basic Technical Training (BTT), and Advanced Rescue Training (ART) certifications from the Global Wind Organization (GWO)
  • Composite / blade experience is an asset
