Toronto, Ontario, Canada Sinai Health Full time

Position Overview

Make a transformative impact as a Nurse Practitioner within Sinai Health's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). Recognized as one of the premier Level 3 NICUs, we take pride in our expertise with micro-preemies. Experience the profound fulfillment of providing exceptional care to our most delicate and vulnerable patients. If you are passionate about practicing at the leading edge of neonatal medicine, collaborating with top professionals, and influencing the future of this vital field, Sinai Health is the ideal environment for you.

Are You the Right Fit?

You are looking for a position that allows you to leverage your skills in a state-of-the-art setting. This role presents a unique combination of clinical, educational, and leadership opportunities. Here, you will encounter some of the most intricate and rewarding neonatal cases, allowing you to learn from a varied patient demographic and enhance your confidence and capabilities in diverse clinical scenarios. You will have the chance to conduct advanced assessments, intubations, line insertions, and resuscitations.

In this capacity, you will make significant decisions while receiving support for your professional development. You will refine your leadership skills by engaging in quality assurance and program development initiatives. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team will enhance your collaboration and communication abilities. Additionally, your participation in research and evidence-based practices will deepen your knowledge, preparing you for advanced clinical roles, leadership opportunities, and positions in academic or research environments.

You possess a strong commitment to providing outstanding care to newborns, especially those with complex medical conditions. You thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and are drawn to the challenges and rewards of caring for a diverse and often fragile patient population. You recognize that every tiny hand you hold symbolizes a world of hope and potential, and you are motivated to make a lasting impact in the lives of these vulnerable infants and their families.
