Avionics Systems Engineer - Avionics Systems Development

Voyageur Aviation Corp. is seeking a highly skilled Avionics Systems Engineer to join our Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and certifying avionics systems modifications for our customer aircraft.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement system design and development plans
  • Manage projects from conceptualization to physical development
  • Collaborate with customers and stakeholders to fulfill project requirements
  • Mentor and supervise system engineers
  • Prepare engineering designs and reports with a focus on avionics systems modifications
  • Support the development of conceptual designs, feasibility studies, estimates, and aircraft modification to meet requirements of proposed modification projects
  • Create Certification Plans and demonstrate compliance to appropriate regulatory requirements
  • Develop required written engineering reports to support the substantiation of projects
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in aerospace engineering with a focus on avionics systems
  • ~3-5 years experience in design, analysis and certification of avionics systems modifications
  • Familiarity with Dash 7, Dash 8 and CRJ aircraft considered an asset
  • Eng license in the province of Ontario
  • Demonstrated knowledge with testing, troubleshooting and problem solving
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Transport Canada Civil Aviation Regulatory Certification requirements
