Job ResponsibilitiesAs an Excellence in Ag Student, you'll work closely with a local Co-op in the CRS, learning about the retail business and providing agronomic guidance to grower customers. Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing training plans to understand the retail business and providing timely, accurate agronomic information and guidance.
- Participating in field activities, such as scouting, soil testing, and developing crop plans.
- Working with grower customers to expand awareness of Co-op agronomic services and product lines.
- Adopting and becoming proficient in AgZone, our digital ag platform.
- Developing and delivering marketing programs, managing manufacturer programs, and resolving product performance issues.
- Performing duties in accordance with Health and Safety guidelines.
We're looking for candidates who are:
- Entering or already enrolled in a diploma or degree program in agriculture at an accredited post-secondary institution.
- Registered or eligible for registration with the respective provincial Professional Institute of Agrology.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a highly motivated team.
- Creative and resourceful, with strong public speaking skills.
