Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Forensic Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team at Shared Health. As a Forensic Psychologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment and treatment services to patients found Not Criminally Responsible on account of mental disorder (NCR) and Unfit to Stand Trial.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop treatment plans for patients with complex mental health needs.
  • Provide individual and group-based treatment for mental health concerns and risk management.
  • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement clinical programming.
  • Consult with inpatient staff and provide expert advice on forensic psychological matters.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with forensic psychologists at other sites in the Forensic Program.
Requirements
  • Doctoral degree (PhD or PsyD) in Clinical Psychology from a CPA or APA-accredited clinical psychology training program.
  • Completion of a CPA or APA accredited internship/residency.
  • Registered or eligible for registration as a Psychologist (C.Psych.) with the Psychological Association of Manitoba with forensic competency.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and inter-professional teamwork skills.
