Job Title: Data Governance Specialist

At Desjardins Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in defining and implementing data management processes that ensure the optimal and secure use of data for the benefit of our members and clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Help define and implement data management processes that align with compliance rules, privacy policies, and security standards.
  • Assist teams in recognizing and managing data as a strategic asset, and develop data governance practices that integrate into their activities.
  • Provide recommendations on data use and compliance with governance documents, based on team needs and organizational objectives.
  • Develop and maintain data governance logs, tools, and dashboards to ensure effective data management.
  • Identify data governance needs and opportunities, and work with teams to analyze risks and potential gaps between governance documents and operational practices.
  • Implement practices and mechanisms to ensure compliance with governance documents, and help measure and monitor the performance of standards and practices in place.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Knowledge of French is required.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of data governance and compliance principles.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
