Data Governance Specialist

At Desjardins Group, we are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team. As a Data Governance Specialist, you will play a key role in defining and implementing data management processes that ensure the optimal and secure use of data for the benefit of our members and clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Help define and implement data management processes that align with compliance rules, privacy policies, and security standards.
- Assist teams in recognizing and managing data as a strategic asset, and develop data governance practices that integrate into their activities.
- Provide recommendations on data use and compliance with governance documents, based on team needs and organizational objectives.
- Develop and maintain data governance logs, tools, and dashboards to ensure effective data management.
- Identify data governance needs and opportunities, and work with teams to analyze risks and potential gaps between governance documents and operational practices.
- Implement practices and mechanisms to ensure compliance with governance documents, and help measure and monitor the performance of standards and practices in place.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field.
- Knowledge of French is required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of data governance and compliance principles.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- 4 weeks of flexible vacation starting in the first year.
