About the Role:

The Bakery Clerk is a key member of our Thrifty Foods team, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and fostering a positive shopping experience. As a Bakery Clerk, you will be the face of our store, ensuring that every customer interaction is friendly, helpful, and memorable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Process customer bakery orders, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Keep the work area clean and presentable, maintaining a safe and healthy environment for customers and colleagues.
  • Participate in the training of junior staff, sharing your knowledge and expertise to ensure a smooth and efficient operation.
  • Order and receive stock in accordance with company inventory control procedures, ensuring that our bakery department is always well-stocked and ready to serve.
  • Process department shrink, identifying and addressing any issues that may impact our bottom line.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to company standards and protocols.
