About the Role

Loopio is seeking an experienced Software Architect to join our Infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our cloud-based infrastructure to support our software development teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Infrastructure Development: Design and implement scalable and secure AWS infrastructure to support our platform's current and future needs.
  • Security and Compliance: Maintain and improve the security posture of Loopio's infrastructure to protect customer data.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with InfoSec, Architecture, and Engineering teams to identify and implement best practices for services on the AWS platform.
  • Automation and Efficiency: Automate manual tasks to enable the team to focus on strategic initiatives, such as improving security posture, evaluating new technologies, and launching new features.
  • Strategic Decision-Making: Participate in platform and technology decisions, including new technologies, cost-savings strategies, and improved processes.
  • Project-Based Work: Lead projects such as software upgrades, centralized logging, automated monitoring, automated configuration management, testing, and exploring alternative tools.
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Mentor and coach others, providing technical guidance and helping build an environment of knowledge-sharing and candid feedback.
  • Incident Response and On-Call: Support incident response and on-call rotations, and improve incident response and disaster recovery processes by simulating failure scenarios.
Requirements
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience as an infrastructure architect, with a focus on automation and reducing toil.
  • Leadership: Leadership experience within a team, expressing candor and curiosity.
  • Technical Skills: Experience with AWS and AWS services (EC2, RDS, Route 53, VPCs, etc.), strong understanding of Immutable Infrastructure and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and experience with monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Datadog, etc.).
  • Culture Fit: Passionate about continuous improvement and promoting a culture of feedback driven by data and key metrics.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Containerization: Experience building and supporting high-performance/high-availability platforms with microservices architecture, containerization technology (Docker, ECS, Fargate), and experience with Jenkins (CI/CD pipelines).
  • Configuration Management: Experience with centralized configuration management tools, such as Chef.
