About the Role

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Light Duty Cleaner to join our team at Task-co Building Maintenance Incorporated. As a Light Duty Cleaner, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
  • Lost and Found: Handle and report lost and found items.
  • Facilities Information: Provide basic information on facilities to visitors and staff.
  • Waste Management: Pick up debris and empty trash containers.
  • Specialized Tasks: Wash windows, walls, and ceilings, clean changing rooms and showers.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate.
  • Security and Safety: Criminal record check, driver's validity license check, driving record check (abstract).
  • Transportation: Valid driver's license, vehicle supplied by employer.
  • Work Conditions: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, physically demanding, attention to detail.
  • Weight Handling: Up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
  • Personal Suitability: Punctuality, client focus, dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, flexibility, initiative, judgement, organized, reliability, team player, excellent written communication, values and ethics, patience, honesty.
Working Conditions

This is a permanent position with 25 to 30 hours per week. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to handle physically demanding tasks.
