Thompson Rivers University is seeking a sessional faculty member to teach ECED 1330: Child Health, a three-credit course, in Williams Lake. The successful candidate will have expertise in holistic health and wellness principles to support children's development.
Key Responsibilities- Teach ECED 1330: Child Health, a three-credit course, in Williams Lake
- Develop and implement innovative educational programs for young children
- Support and evaluate student progress in on-site and in community-based practica
- Liaise with community educators regarding student progress
- Relevant successful teaching experience in early childhood education programs for 3–5-year-olds
- Demonstrated knowledge of pedagogical narrations and innovative programs for young children
- Demonstrated expertise in the course topic areas
- Demonstrated experience in integrating Indigenous knowledge and teaching methods
- Proven skills in building student capacity for intercultural understanding, empathy, and mutual respect
- Teaching excellence, including developing culturally appropriate curricula
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
- A Master of Education or equivalent in a relevant field
- Successful teaching experience in post-secondary institutions
