Are you passionate about making a meaningful difference in your community? Do you have strong communication skills and experience in conflict resolution and social work? The Mustard Seed is seeking a Community Support Worker in Medicine Hat.

This role is responsible for assisting in the development and facilitation of programs at the Medicine Hat Community Impact Centre. You will oversee the day-to-day facilitation, administration, and coordination of activities in securing, setting up, and supporting the Centre's programs and services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide clear communication to volunteers and community participants
  • Assist in front desk duties and maintain a safe and welcoming environment
  • Support the development and implementation of programs that align with The Mustard Seed's mandate
  • Build and nurture relationships with external partners and stakeholders
  • Collect data and generate reports on statistics as required

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field or equivalent level of experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in community development initiatives
  • Experience developing creative solutions to complex challenges and problems
  • Demonstrated effective conflict management, networking, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
