Community Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Community Support Worker to join our team at The Mustard Seed in Medicine Hat. As a key member of our Community Impact Centre, you will play a vital role in supporting community members and partners, and contributing to the development and facilitation of programs that make a meaningful impact.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the development and facilitation of programs at the Medicine Hat Community Impact Centre
  • Provide clear communication to volunteers and community participants
  • Assist in front desk duties and maintain a safe and welcoming environment
  • Support the day-to-day facilitation, administration, and coordination of activities
  • Build and nurture relationships with external partners and stakeholders
  • Maintain inventory of materials and equipment
  • Participate in all staff training and professional development opportunities
Requirements:
  • An undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent level of experience
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in community development initiatives
  • Experience developing creative solutions to complex challenges and problems
  • Demonstrated effective conflict management, networking, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite
