About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a Cloud Security Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping and communicating project status, technical information, executive reports, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement secure cloud-based platforms and solutions, ensuring effective communication and collaboration within the team and with stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development of key project and technical documentation and dashboards, leveraging expertise in cloud security and technologies.
  • Collaborate closely with members of the cybersecurity team, clients, development team, and vendors to align content strategy with project goals and objectives.
  • Leverage expertise in Power BI, Office 365 applications, and other relevant software to visualize and analyze key performance indicators, security metrics, and project data.
  • Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of their respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles.
  • Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.
Requirements
  • 3 years of experience in Network Security, architecture, and applications infrastructure.
  • 3 years of working with cloud security and technologies, preferably GCP.
  • Familiarity with automating deployment processes and working with CI/CD tools (Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment, etc.).
  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for project tracking and collaboration.
  • Effective project management abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality assurance.
  • Strong analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Security-related Certifications will be an advantage.
  • Cloud-related Certifications will be an advantage.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps services.
  • Knowledge and/or ability to speak Spanish.
