Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Security Engineer to join our team at Scotiabank. As a key member of our Security Platforms Engineering Orchestration and Logistics team, you will play a critical role in shaping and communicating project status, technical information, executive reports, and data-driven insights.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cloud Security Expertise: You will have in-depth knowledge of cloud security solutions, including network design and system infrastructure, to assist with implementation, incorporate processes into security strategies, and document security solutions implementation.
  • Collaboration and Communication: You will collaborate closely with members of the cybersecurity engineers, clients, development team, and vendors to align content strategy with project goals and objectives, identify and understand the requirements, assist with system architecture and network design, understand operational challenges, and provide support and assistance as needed to achieve team objectives.
  • Technical Documentation and Dashboards: You will contribute to the development of key project and technical documentation and dashboards, which requires a strong knowledge of cloud solutions and command of various software tools, including Office 365 and Power BI.
  • Project Management and Quality Assurance: You will possess exceptional project management abilities, attention to detail, and commitment to quality assurance to support the team's objectives.
Requirements
  • Experience: 3 years of experience in Network Security, architecture, and applications infrastructure.
  • Cloud Security Experience: 3 years of working with cloud security and technologies, preferably GCP.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with automating deployment processes and working with CI/CD tools (Terraform, Google Cloud Deployment, etc.), familiarity with Azure DevOps or similar tools for project tracking and collaboration.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, strong documentation skills, including the ability to create and maintain detailed system, network, and technical design documents.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Security-related Certifications: Security-related certifications will be an advantage.
  • Language Skills: Knowledge and/or ability to speak Spanish.
