Position Overview:

The primary responsibility of the Electrician is to ensure a functional, safe, and reliable healthcare environment. The selected candidate will undertake various electrical tasks, maintenance duties, and renovation projects throughout the facilities, adhering to established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Repairing, testing, and inspecting essential systems such as call bell systems, ATS switch gear, generators, and fire safety systems.
  • Conducting preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
  • Collaborating with other team members to maintain a high standard of safety and operational efficiency.

Health and Safety Commitment:

A strong focus on Health and Safety, along with Infection Control protocols, is vital to our operations. Adherence to Occupational Health and Safety policies is mandatory.

Qualifications:

  • Valid 309A Province of Ontario Electrical License is required.
  • Completion of an Apprenticeship program is preferred.
  • Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to interpret electrical blueprints.
  • A positive work ethic and attendance record are essential.
