Pharmacy Technician Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Carlton Heights Compounding Pharmacy. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of our pharmacy operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prescription Accuracy: Verify the accuracy of prescription information and ensure that all necessary documentation is complete and up-to-date.
  • Client Information: Enter client information into our database and maintain accurate records of client interactions.
  • Medication Preparation: Prepare medications for clients, including compounding oral solutions, ointments, and creams.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain accurate inventories of medications and prescription records of pharmaceutical products.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with scheduling, workflow, and billing third-party insurers.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant experience is an asset.
  • Work Setting: Pharmacy or drugstore environment.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, and ability to multitask.
