Position Overview

Join Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH) as a Physiotherapist and contribute to the health and well-being of our community.

Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a dedicated Physiotherapist to enhance our healthcare team. This position involves working collaboratively to provide high-quality physiotherapy services.

Responsibilities of the Physiotherapist include:

Delivering physiotherapy interventions to assist clients in achieving and sustaining optimal health outcomes, functioning both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Conducting thorough evaluations of clients' physical conditions, functional capabilities, and personal objectives, formulating a physiotherapy diagnosis and prognosis, and devising and executing an intervention plan while assessing its effectiveness. Participating in the organization and provision of physiotherapy services, and engaging in departmental quality assurance initiatives, meetings, research, and educational activities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience

Must hold current full registration with the College of Physical Therapists of BC (CPTBC). Eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC).

Knowledge & Skills

In-depth understanding of physiotherapy principles and practices within a client-centered care framework. Familiarity with the CPTBC standards of practice and clinical guidelines. Awareness of other healthcare disciplines and their contributions to client care. Basic understanding of evidence-based practices relevant to specific clinical areas. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques and equipment usage. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with clients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a complex healthcare environment. Demonstrated capacity to adapt to changing circumstances and manage competing priorities. Competence in utilizing computerized client care information systems. Physical capability to fulfill the responsibilities of the position.

Additional Information

The work schedule may vary based on operational needs. Successful candidates may be required to undergo a Criminal Records Review Check. Compliance with current Public Health Orders regarding vaccination is mandatory for all employees.
