About the RoleAs a Computer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining software and hardware services, and collaborating with the IT team to improve general operating efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Provide technical support to clients, including troubleshooting hardware and software issues
- Maintain software and hardware services, including installing, configuring, and troubleshooting desktop hardware, software, and peripherals
- Support Microsoft desktop operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11, and MS Office products
- Utilize service management platforms, such as Axios Assyst, Infoman, Altiris, Footprints, etc.
- Collaborate with IT team members to improve general operating efficiency and create, edit, and maintain documentation
- College diploma in Computer Science or related field; Bachelor degree in Computer Science from a recognized University considered an asset
- At least 3 years of experience providing desktop and technical support to users in a Windows-based environment
- Experience using service management applications to manage events, incidents, service requests, asset management, and document knowledge
- Significant experience installing, configuring, and maintaining desktop hardware, software, and peripherals
- Experience supporting Microsoft desktop operating systems, including Windows 10 and 11, and MS Office products
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
- Ability to use reasoning and problem-solving skills for troubleshooting of IT devices
- Knowledge of service management platforms and ITIL core processes
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize
- Solid knowledge of Microsoft desktop operating systems and MS Office products
