Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Drainage Design Engineer to join our team at CONSOR Engineers. As a key member of our transportation construction projects, you will be responsible for performing storm drainage analysis and design, cross drainage hydraulic analysis and design, erosion control, quantity and cost estimates, preparation of technical reports and memorandum, and preparation of construction plans, estimates, and specifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with project engineers on the detailed enclosed storm drainage analysis and design for urban and rural transportation projects.
  • Conduct drainage analysis and design per the project's requirements and various transportation public agencies.
  • Provide hydraulic analysis for cross-drainage structures and incorporate the results in the design of roadways and bridges.
  • Design of stormwater management systems, storm drain systems, open channel conveyance, culvert analysis, bridge hydraulics, and floodplain compensation.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in Microstation, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.
Work Environment

This hybrid job operates between an office environment and a field environment and routinely requires the use of standard office equipment such as computers, phones and copy machines. May require occasional exposure to work environments that may include inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of the employee include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling. This job may occasionally require operating a company vehicle, and lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
