Drainage Design Engineer

As a Drainage Design Engineer at CONSOR Engineers, you will work on transportation construction projects performing storm drainage analysis and design, cross drainage hydraulic analysis and design, erosion control, quantity and cost estimates, preparation of technical reports and memorandum, and preparation of construction plans, estimates, and specifications.

The successful candidate will report to the project manager and coordinate with project engineers on the detailed enclosed storm drainage analysis and design for urban and rural transportation projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting drainage analysis and design per the project's requirements and various transportation public agencies.
  • Providing hydraulic analysis for cross-drainage structures and incorporating the results in the design of roadways and bridges.
  • Designing stormwater management systems, storm drain systems, open channel conveyance, culvert analysis, bridge hydraulics, and floodplain compensation.

Requirements include:

  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum four years of transportation engineering experience.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Proficiency in Microstation, AutoCad, and Civil3D software.

This is a hybrid job that operates between an office environment and a field environment, requiring the use of standard office equipment and occasional exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water.

The physical demands of the job include frequent sitting, moving, standing, talking, hearing, and occasional balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
