Job Title: Food Service Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Sparkling Hill Resort. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our food service department, ensuring that our guests receive exceptional dining experiences.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish and implement efficient work schedules to meet the demands of our busy food service operations.
  • Requisition and manage food and kitchen supplies to ensure seamless service delivery.
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of our food service staff, providing guidance and training to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures to maintain a clean and safe working environment.
  • Estimate ingredient and supply requirements for meal preparation, ensuring we meet the needs of our guests.
  • Hire and manage food service staff, ensuring they possess the necessary skills and qualifications.
  • Ensure that our food and service meet quality control standards, maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Prepare and submit reports on food service operations, including sales, stock, and wastage.
  • Prepare food order summaries for our chef, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Maintain knowledge of our establishment's culinary genres, ensuring we deliver exceptional dining experiences.
  • Supervise and check the assembly of trays, ensuring they meet our high standards.
  • Establish work schedules, ensuring our staff are well-equipped to meet the demands of our food service operations.
Requirements:
  • Safe Food Handling certificate
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, under pressure, with tight deadlines.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, walking, and standing for extended periods.
  • Physically demanding role, requiring attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
  • Client-focused, with efficient interpersonal skills and excellent oral communication.
  • Flexibility, team player, initiative, and dependability.
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
