Key Responsibilities:

  • Overseeing the creation, implementation, and management of a robust Compliance Monitoring and enhancement program.
  • Conducting continuous risk assessments for operations in Canada and collaborating with leadership to develop and execute risk mitigation strategies.
  • Working closely with regional teams, especially Regional Managers, to pinpoint potential compliance issues.
  • Regularly reviewing procedures and reports to uncover hidden risks or areas of non-compliance.
  • Drafting, revising, and enforcing company policies.
  • Partnering with legal counsel and HR to ensure adherence to standards and regulations.
  • Evaluating prospective business initiatives to identify compliance-related risks.
  • Reviewing colleagues' work as needed to identify compliance challenges and provide guidance or training.
  • Staying informed about regulatory changes and best practices in compliance management.
  • Preparing detailed reports for senior management and relevant regulatory agencies as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in law, finance, business administration, or a related discipline, with demonstrated experience in compliance management.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English is advantageous.
  • Thorough understanding of industry standards and regulations.
  • Strong knowledge of reporting protocols and record-keeping practices.
  • Business-oriented mindset coupled with a strong commitment to legal compliance.
  • Detail-oriented and methodical with exceptional organizational skills.
  • Analytical thinker capable of navigating complex regulatory frameworks.
  • Outstanding communication abilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

The salary range for this role is set between CA$70,000 and CA$90,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on various factors including relevant experience, education, and job-related skills.
