Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our property.

Key Responsibilities
  • Empty trash cans and other waste containers on a regular basis
  • Contact contractors for repairs and maintenance of the establishment, ensuring timely and efficient resolution of issues
  • Perform minor repairs on appliances and equipment to prevent downtime and maintain optimal performance
  • Conduct safety and security checks to identify potential hazards and take corrective action
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed to support daily operations
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to maintain a welcoming atmosphere
  • Clean snow and ice from walkways and parking areas to ensure safe access for guests and staff
Work Environment and Physical Demands

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions. You will be required to lift heavy objects, stand for long periods, and work in various weather conditions.

Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Experience in a related field is an asset
  • Initiative, organized, and reliable with a strong work ethic
  • Ability to work 35 hours per week
  • Fluency in English
