Retail Merchandise Manager

SASKATCHEWAN INC. is seeking a skilled Retail Buyer to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for selecting and purchasing merchandise for resale, ensuring adequate stock levels, and maintaining contact with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities- Study market reports, trade periodicals, and sales promotion materials to stay informed about market trends and consumer preferences.
- Arrange products according to planograms to optimize store displays and customer experience.
- Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers to negotiate prices, discounts, credit terms, and transportation arrangements.
- Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Review requirements of the establishment and determine the quantity and type of merchandise to purchase.
- Visit trade shows, showrooms, factories, and product design events to stay up-to-date on the latest products and trends.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Green job: Involves duties and responsibilities that lead to positive environmental outcomes.
- Other benefits: Permanent employment, 40 hours per week, English language, and other benefits.
