PHSA is in search of a Provincial Medical Director for Psychiatry to lead initiatives in clinical practice, educational outreach, and research endeavors within the Psychiatry domain. Reporting to the provincial Program Medical Director for Supportive Care, the Medical Director will engage with interdisciplinary teams across PHSA facilities.
This role encompasses leadership in clinical, educational, and research capacities, which includes:
- Staying informed on advancements in the field of Psychiatry.
- Developing and implementing clinical guidelines and protocols.
- Facilitating and promoting research initiatives.
Ideal candidates will demonstrate a commitment to reconciliation efforts in Canada, possess an understanding of social challenges affecting indigenous populations, and hold relevant medical qualifications. Full vaccination against COVID-19 is a prerequisite for this role.
