Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to join our Recreation Therapy/Adult Day Services department as a Program Coordinator. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing recreational/leisure programs to support residents'/clients' health and well-being in residential, acute, and/or adult day program settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, develop, and implement recreational/leisure programs to meet the needs of residents'/clients
  • Supervise Activity Worker II positions and provide direction to designated volunteers
  • Carry out therapeutic components of a resident's care plan as assigned by a Recreation Therapist or other clinical staff
  • Monitor patients'/residents' progression and report any changes to clinical staff
Requirements
  • Graduation from a recognized recreational program plus one year of recent, related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Valid Class IV Unrestricted BCDL (or be willing to obtain same within first 6 months from hire)
