We are seeking a skilled Gas Fitter-Installer to join our team at Dawe's Mechanical (1981) Limited. As a Gas Fitter-Installer, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and repairing gas heating units and their components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install gas heating units and their components
  • Measure and mark reference points for installation of gas lines and equipment
  • Service gas heating units and their components
  • Install and maintain meters and regulators and gas lines between gas unit and gas meter
  • Repair and service gas appliances and related equipment
  • Advise clients regarding standards, safety features and maintenance of gas units and systems
  • Study drawings and specifications to determine the layout of the installation and materials required
  • Test and adjust control mechanisms and check pipes and piping connections for gas leaks using gas detecting devices
  • Install and service propane and natural gas filling stations
  • Operate CADD and other computer software systems
  • Test and replace defective equipment or components
Requirements:
  • Gas Fitter Trade Certification
  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in the field
  • Green economy sector experience
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Steel-toed safety boots
  • Client focus, dependability, team player, positive attitude
