Position Overview: Cloud Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize scripting and automation tools effectively to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Design, configure, manage, and support network infrastructure technologies and solutions, including computing and storage systems.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of information systems by adhering to relevant laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical issues, taking full responsibility for problem ownership and resolution.
  • Analyze and classify problems, documenting their causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to create technical designs that address business needs, visualizing ideal user services and exploring various design approaches.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments and apply this knowledge to optimize the use of emerging tools and technologies.
  • Assist in delivering solutions according to specifications, meeting project deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Document technical solutions as necessary to support infrastructure functions.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting solutions across all infrastructure to ensure comprehensive support.
  • Be available for out-of-hours project activities and participate in on-call rotations.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Manage Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco and Meraki switches, Barracuda WAFs, and Azure networking components.
  • Demonstrate extensive experience in cloud networking and familiarity with IaaS and PaaS services.
  • Oversee Azure DevOps configurations and deployments of networking components.
  • Support Windows Server environments and related technologies.
  • Utilize storage and backup solutions effectively to ensure data integrity.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • Ability to train team members on networking concepts and technologies.
  • Proficient in understanding and documenting complex network topologies.
  • Experience in designing and delivering intricate networking solutions for projects.
