The Opportunity:

We are seeking a skilled Shop Quality Assurance Inspector to join our fabrication shop team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality standards are met in all aspects of our work.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of welded piping and structural steel to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Record and document inspection results, including welder symbols, heat numbers, and radiography numbers
  • Prepare and inspect documentation for hydrostatic and pneumatic pressure tests
  • Coordinate inspections with external contractors and clients
  • Complete quality control paperwork and reports

Requirements:

  • CWB Level 1 Certification
  • NACE (AMPP) CIP Level 2 Coating Inspector Certification (asset)
  • 2+ years of quality control experience in a fabrication environment
  • Strong understanding of ASME and CSA codes and practices
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to learn new tasks and adapt to changing client expectations
