We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Occupational Health and Safety Manager to join our team at Det'on Cho Management LP. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive OHS program that ensures a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute effective OHS procedures to enhance the program and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Provide technical support and training to employees on OHS matters.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Collaborate with senior management to communicate and implement changes to policies and procedures.
- Evaluate health and safety practices and procedures for risk assessment and compliance with legal guidelines.
- Provide hazard identification training and ensure consistent data collection.
- Participate in investigations to identify causes and take preventive measures for further incidents.
- Recommend change based on leading indicators and statistical metrics.
- Mentor and train junior staff on OHS matters.
- Education in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or related fields.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in safety management.
- Demonstrated ability to manage all aspects of an OHS program on projects of increasing complexity.
- Relevant professional certifications or memberships (e.g., CRSP, CRST) are advantageous.
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Ability to freely access all points of a work site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
- Able to successfully communicate with all levels of the organization.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Good attention to detail, with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
- Strong work ethic - Willing to do what it takes to get the job done.
- Willingness to travel and relocate to project sites as needed.
