Site Superintendent for Residential Construction

Adecco Canada is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Superintendent to oversee the construction of residential single-family homes in the Edmonton region.
Key Responsibilities- Manage on-site activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and budget.
- Lead and supervise construction teams, subcontractors, and trades to ensure quality workmanship and safety standards.
- Develop, maintain, and update construction schedules, coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure timely project completion.
- Ensure all construction work meets or exceeds the company's quality standards, building codes, and specifications.
- Enforce safety protocols on-site, conducting regular safety meetings and inspections to minimize risks and ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
- Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, implementing effective solutions to maintain project momentum.
- Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and addressing any concerns or requests.
- Maintain accurate records of daily site activities, including progress reports, material deliveries, and subcontractor performance.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Superintendent, with a focus on single-family home construction.
- Diploma or degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
- Strong understanding of residential construction processes, Alberta Building Codes, and local regulations.
- Proficient in construction management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate construction teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
- Valid First Aid/CPR and safety certifications (e.g., COR, WHMIS) are an asset.
