Site Superintendent, Residential Construction Leader

As a Site Superintendent with Qualico Canada, you will play a crucial role in directing and overseeing on-site construction activities. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and develop on-site team members, providing guidance and direction to ensure clear communication and safe work practices.
- Communicate effectively with trade partners and suppliers to schedule material deliveries and labor, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Inspect work to ensure it meets Qualico's standards and all building and safety code requirements.
- Interpret plans and specifications, identifying and resolving problems, and communicating errors or discrepancies to the project management team.
- Meet with customers prior to possession to inspect homes and address any concerns or inquiries, providing excellent customer service.
- Maintain project schedules, complete regular progress reports, and provide updates to the project management team.
- Ensure adherence to Qualico's Safety Program and relevant safety legislation, performing site safety orientations and leading regular safety meetings.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of site superintendent supervisory experience in Residential Construction industry.
- Knowledge of building codes and requirements.
- Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
- Satisfactory verification of criminal record check.
- Comfortable using office equipment, Microsoft Office programs, and construction management software.
- Physically able to carry out basic construction duties.
- Creating trusting and successful working relationships.
- Setting clear, measurable, and achievable goals.
- Cooperating with team members in an open, positive, and respectful manner.
- Staying current with technical job skills.
- Consistently meeting customer expectations.
- Taking responsibility for the outcomes of decisions and actions.
You will primarily work on-site during regular business hours, with occasional travel to the regional office or other site locations. Work may involve exposure to noise, occupational hazards, and inclement weather.
