Position Overview

Join our team at Benson Lobster Co. Ltd as a dedicated Fish Processing Plant Worker. This role involves working in a dynamic environment focused on the preparation and packaging of seafood products.

Education Requirements
  • No formal education, certificate, or diploma is required.
Work Environment
  • Expect a noisy atmosphere with potential odours and dust.
  • Work conditions may include cold, refrigerated areas and wet or damp surfaces.
Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare fish and seafood by cutting, cleaning, and trimming prior to marketing or further processing.
  • Utilize knives to scrape scales, separate fillets, and remove unwanted parts.
  • Inspect products and packaging for quality assurance, making necessary machine adjustments.
  • Disjoint and extract meat from crustaceans for canning or additional processing.
  • Document production data accurately.
  • Set up and operate machinery for packaging seafood products.
  • Manage equipment for various processing tasks including cooking, smoking, and brining.
Safety and Security
  • A criminal record check is required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with manual dexterity.
  • Must be comfortable with bending, crouching, and kneeling.
Personal Attributes
  • Flexibility and teamwork are essential.
Experience
  • 1 to 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
