Sushi Chef

We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our team at Melvin Tan Sushi Company. As a Sushi Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of sushi dishes to the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Responsibilities:- Prepare and cook sushi dishes, including rolls, sashimi, and nigiri.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety standards.
- Train and mentor junior staff members in sushi preparation and cooking techniques.
- Assist with inventory management and ordering of ingredients and supplies.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment, meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity.
- 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a sushi kitchen or related field.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, standing for extended periods and lifting heavy objects.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.
- Paid time off (volunteering or personal days).
- Permanent employment.
- English language of work.
- 35 to 40 hours per week.
